What’s been happening:

Married for 40 years as of May 31, 2009 - to Maria Antonette Paolone, born in Balzano, Italy; raised in Mannheim, Germany; educated in Altoona,PA and PSU (where we met) and Univ of Ala at Birmingham(UAB)where ahe received her BS degree in Communications. Two sons: JON - USAF vet and graduate of UAB in Environmental Studies, where he is now employed as Recycling Coord. for the University; PATRICK - 5 years in Army ROTC and graduate of UAB in Business Logistics and Civil Engr; currently employed with Abbott Labs as Computer Analyst in Chicago, IL. I am semi-retired while being a part-time Quality Assurance specialist in research at UAB, and previously appointed by the U.S. Treasury Secretary as the first 3-year volunteer representative from Alabama to the newly formed nationwide Taxpayer Advocacy Panel which explored systemic issues as identified by surveying groups / organizations / individuals impacted by our tax system. My wife Maria is a Beauty and Image Advisor at the Hoover Galeria Mall and as self-employed consultant.
